Tasting Notes for the Taltarni T Series Brut

Region: Victoria, South Australia
Variety: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier

Poured into a glass, this Sauvignon Blanc exhibits a green to light straw color. Swirl the glass to explore the complex bouquet rife with aromas of passionfruit and boysenberry, enriched by notes of capsicum characters and freshly cut grass. The magnificent bouquet is followed by a textured palate showing perfect acidity. This stylish drink can be paired with soft cheeses or lemon, prawn and grilled zucchini salad.

Description

This NV is a traditional method sparkling made from the classic sparkling varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Taltarni T Series Brut is sourced from various cool-climate regions, predominantly from Taltarni’s Pyrenees vineyard, but also from carefully selected sites in the Alpine Valleys, Adelaide Hills and Tasmania. This particular wine is a Pinot dominant blend and is made up of 60% current vintage and 40% reserve wine that is aged in stainless steel and older French oak.

Winemaker Comments

This wine is a light bronze colour with a pinkish hue due to the Pinot Noir dominance of this particular blend. The bright, fruit- driven wine shows an impressive array of white peach and ripe strawberry flavours with a hint of citrus. The creamy, textural mid-palate extends into a crisp, refreshing finish.
